Thoughts on Tekinc Chicane 1pc suit? - June 16, 2008, 01:11 PM

I am thinking about picking up a Teknic Chicane 1 pc suit and wanted to know who else has one and what they thought about them. I really like my Teknic Chicane jacket that I currently ride with. Thanks in advance for the help.

From a sales stand point they are pretty damn good. I've sold 3 in the past 2 weeks. I don't know about the wreck factor as non of the 3 who bought them have wrecked but if it's anything like the Teknic jacket I wrecked in you're gold!

Lemme know if you need a hook up on it. I'll take care of you!

The Chicane has gone thru a change, if it's the 07 and newer model it is made of leather... 06 and older is made of goat skin...

Only down side of this suit is lack of CE or GP armor, it has dual density foam armor similar to mesh jackets.

Aside from good styling, look at Fieldsheer REVO 1 or 2 piece suits that come with GP armor.

Otherwise, I would recommend something like a Ballistic jersey or Alpinestars Bionic jacket, both incorporate a back protector. Another thing to look at are armored shorts since hip padding is lacking.

You can buy a full set of the Knox armour that the Teknic Violator jacket/suit has for fairly cheap. I have the violator jacket and the Knox armour is just as good if not better than A-Stars armour.

I was going to say, the old ones were pieces of chit.

I have the Tecknic Chicane Leather Pants for the street (never crashed but seem fine). For the track i'd say - spend the extra cash and go with the Tecknic Violator - i think i paid around 625 (crashed well too).
