Vega V-Tune pics+review - August 11, 2009, 09:32 PM

Took a chance and bought the Vega V-Tune helmet from Motorcyclesuperstore.com All I can say is the helmet is very impressive. Helmet was about $230.00 shipped. The helmet is very well made, especially compared to the first Vega I had the Altura. Color is flat rubberized black but they have gloss black, various graphics, gloss red, silver and a rubberized titanium. Cool features include the muiltiple vents you can open and close, the drop down tinted visor (negating the need for buying a tinted visor), bluetooth and STEREO speakers. It's DOT approved as well. Bluetooth syncing with cell phone is very easy, takes less than a minute. Can answer calls easily with one-button touch and wind noise isn't bad at all if you turn the volume up a bit. Also compatible with bluetooth adapted Ipod, GPS, laser/radar, and other Bluetooth headsets.

Pros-dropdown tinted visor, well made, rubberized flat black seems hard to scratch, Bluetooth, vented

Cons-might be slighly heavier than average helmet, speakers are a bit snug on the ears but not enough to annoy you, vents are silver on a black helmet, no Snell

heres some pics, please dont hold my ugly mug against the helmet or company

Post up if you got any questions, and when I get my bike back yall can try it on or try the bluetooth jank out on any grouprides or whatever.

Well Denny all I need is a Spartan suit and I can live out my dream of becoming a real Power Ranger. What color would I be?

Hao, toy helmet? Jank is nice, no toy about it. The tinted drop down visor is built in so you don't have to buy and switch out tinted and clear visors.

Thanks D.

Chris, broke my e-cig at 6 flags sunday. Pops gonna fix it back up when he's back from Kanas City. I occasionally get to take my neighbors 250 Ninja out around town.

The bluetooth stuff is cool...but I wouldn't own a Vega helmet(personally).

No Snell?

Nope, just DOT and ECE R 22.05 whatever that means. Would feel better if it had Snell but oh well. Was wary of Vega because first helmet from them wasn't that greatly made, but worked in a crash and this one is 10x in quality than that one was.

Rob yeah, betcha a 250 could smoke my Buell.
