Wireless Ipod gear! - November 17, 2009, 08:53 AM

Finally got my completley wireless Ipod listening gear all up to snuff. Went through the trouble of researching and finding what would work with what cuz A)wires suck azz and B)tickets for having headphone wires while riding. I chose a Bluetooth helmet that had speakers built in, but the Scalia bluetooth headset system would work as well, or any other bluetooth speaker system.

My wireless Ipod/music system
  1. Vega V-tune Bluetooth helmet - $240 shipped, built in STEREO speakers and Bluetooth ability, can use with Ipod, phone, GPS, laser/radar, etc. Bluetooth is only requirment.
  1. Ijet Wireless Ipod remote - $22 shipped reciever plugs into bottom of Ipod, wireless remote with Play/pause, seek and volume adjust....waterproof and its the pop up buttons so you can adjust with gloves on... 2 different clips
  1. Sony BT-10 Bluetooth audio adapter - $30 shipped- plugs into headphone jack of audio source (like Ipod), transmits bluetooth audio to whatever, in this case the bluetooth helmet

The helmet must be recharged and last with 6 hours of constant music playing, the bluetooth adaptor last about 4 which kinda sucks...maybe it can be hacked to run on a different battery or power source. The remote is RF so it goes thorugh walls and clothing. The onyl drawback is my bike is wayyyy too loud, but no one else rides a Buell so yall should be fine and hear the music better than I.
