2 bikes vs car in Fairfax area - April 19, 2006, 02:36 PM

At 2:40pm I heard a report of a bike into the side of a car. Then it was a report of two bikes involved with a car. I never heard the outcome.

I saw the aftermath of an accident on US-50 and US-29 about that time but I only saw one bike...a green Kawasaki. Was riding by at about 30mph so I couldn't see that much. Hope they're alright.

My cousin works in the ER at Suburban and she says they brought in a 20 year old kid that went full speed into the back of a Maryland Road Service Truck on Rockville Pike. The cops think it was a suicide cause witnesses say he did not have a helmet and he was going fast and never tried to stop. The truck was at a stand-still putting up cones for road work.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

This was two of my old co-workers at Patriot Harley Davidson. The green bike was a Triumph speed 4. The other was a Sportster 883. An old lady thought she could jet out in front of them and make it. She hit the Triumph and the Sportster hit her. No broken bones, just some road rash but both bikes were totalled. The owner of the Triumph is Deron and he has been at the Herndon spot with me before. The other guy was Mike, he took delivery of the Sporty the day before the accident.

Time to take her oxygen tank away.

Glad to hear your friends are out relatively unscathed.

+1 on the Trumph. In fact the last time I was there, Jess made sure that I walk over to it and explain that it was a Speed 4 and not a Speed Triple. I liked it, it was nice, clean and green.

Glad they are both okay.
