Yep. That's a bad, bad corner, too.

I almost drove off there last year.

2nd official crash on a noob ride or on this noob ride?

Do we know the status of the rider on the r1 who went down earlier in the day?

I just read the post, sounds like you guys were movin pretty good through the corners, draggin pegs and stuff. Pretty fast pace for a noob ride! You all might think about having the next one at Summit Main.

Glad there were no injuries.

No draggin pegs or anything like that. The first groupo did take it a little faster but there werent any noobs in that group...

lol
it wasn't that fast but I just didn't slow enough for that curve then panick braked.

now I know why eye-witness testimony is suspect. I saw GratefulMeds video of my crash and i didn't slide at all. I stood the bike up and braked until I hit the ditch.

So the bike is in pretty good shape and the soreness is almost gone...Does anyone know when my pride heals?

Well according to Magic-Rat it's the 2nd one on an actual noob ride. There have been accidents on the way to and from and the rider on the R1 was with the "intermediate" group. So it's just been him and now me, not that it's a distinction I want much less to quibble about!

Thanks. So if you would have stayed in the turn you prob would have made it through no problem? Did you hit both brakes or just the wear/front?

Pretty much. I only used the front brakes (I think). Perception is a b*tch. I've heard it said and read it many times but until I actually saw the video and could see for myself I understand more how you're not really leaned over as far as you think you are. So even though the peg hit I should've just kept my lean angle and got through the turn. That impulse to brake or stop leaning is hard to fight until you get more practice in it.
