Most that were on the .com board know I went down on 211 on Sunday 1:34 PM....we were halfway up the mountain, i started to fall behind my group and sped through the turn...as i entered this one right handed sweeper, i kept acellerating, and got lower and lower, didn't hang off the bike, just stuck with it for some reason and got so low, then i made my mistake, i stared at the asphalt...nothing scarier than looking down and see you are inches away from the road...that's when i panicked and lowsided...bike went over the yellow line, SUV ran it over, i slide for a few yards and flipped 3 times...but on the 3rd roll i did a power ranger sommersault and popped right back up...

God bless my team yamaha jacket, it took all the damage, and i got a sprained ankle and that was it...im lucky to be here posting...if that SUV came a little sooner...i'd be another statistic...

211 is no joke, especially for beginners, take it slow, don't underestimate the turns...follow your group's pace...i didn't listen and paid for it...lesson learned, the hard way...now i'm wiser, but i'll be out of commision for about a month for my ankle to heal..and the bike needs 1500 dollar worth of repair...frame slider save the day, again...

Glad your okay. Lesson learned. For everyone else...keep the speed, leans, speed, leans, speed and more leans for the track. Save a life...especially yours.

So those girls at Hard times were right...you are a power ranger. jk

Real glad things weren't any worse for ya. Heal the wheel, fix the bike and get back out there when you're ready.

Yeah it's my fault i crashed anyways...but on my defense, that was a nasty turn, after i crashed...i was waiting around the turn and notice every car that comes by, they ran REAL wide and squealed their tires...they had 4 wheels...i only had 2...so when i squeal, i slide outta control...hehe oh wells, bike can be fixed..and my baseball sized ankle will heal, and i'll hop back on...with knowledge to take it easy next time

Doesn't sound to me like you learned anything. Following your above advice is what caused you to crash. You were trying to keep up with your group and started running a pace that was above your current ability. The proper lesson to learn is to run your own pace, and don't get drawn in above your head. No one will think less of you for riding safely within your comfort zone. If they do you probably need to find some new friends to ride with.

And FFS, if you're going to ride like this get some leathers, good boots/gloves, and a back protector.
