Accident Final Outcomes Summary - February 27, 2006, 05:13 PM

Jan. 15 is when my original accident occurred. Wreckless driving "General" ticket was issused (even though he arrived after the bike taken off the road).
46.2-852. Reckless driving; general rule.
Irrespective of the maximum speeds permitted by law, any person who drives a vehicle on any highway recklessly or at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger the life, limb, or property of any person shall be guilty of reckless driving.

The bike - 2005 GSRX1000 Y/B (only 2k miles) - $5k in parts damaged (total of $7k on the estimate from Coleman). They wanted $3800 for salvage (just to give everyone an idea of what the mark up on salvage is before its re-sold). But because getting dressed is still challenging me at this moment, I had to let em' total it.

Injuries - Posterior dislocations of the shoulder & rash on both knee's. At least 2 months before I will be allowed to ride again.

The court case (today) - Pleaded not guilty to the charge (which seemed to irritate the officer for some reason). My witness was my (step-father who was behind me at the accident) testified what occurred after I finished. Because the officer speculated what had occurred and did not witness anything, my case was dismissed!

Lesson learned:
1000cc Sport bikes are powerful mother..###er's - So be careful, no matter what ya riding. As for me, I am so ready to go out and get another new bike when everything works the way it should again.

Sweet, sorry about the wreck, but good news about the ticket. I knew it was BS... Glad to hear a judge backed you up.

Soooo.. did you figure out why you crashed, and how to prevent it again, yet?
