Aftermath of estimated 174mph street crash - What kind of bike? - August 30, 2007, 09:10 AM

These pictures allegedly come from the Oklahoma highway patrol. They say he was going 174mph. Of course whenever something like this surfaces, my friends/family must send me an e-mail warning me to be careful...
But anyway, what kind of bike do you think it is? I can't tell. I like how he was wearing one race boot and one sneaker

I remember seing this awhile back and thinking it was some kind of fake. There's a lot of "odd" things about the pics - like the shoe. We had a long thread about it on sportbikes.net or r1-forum.com - I forget.

niiiiiiiice. I love the slimy snail trail drag marks from pulling him off the road. I wonder if the sneaker was mistakenly added to the pile of carnage, or maybe he had a tail bag with a change of clothes in it.. I'd like to know what he hit that tore him up so badly.. that's some serious damage. Taco Bell guy didn't even look that bad and he flew right through an entire building.

Yeah, this topic is actually a couple years old. This started around the net a LOOONG time ago. Unfortunately, it was no trickery or anything like that involved. This was an actual accident. If I'm remembering correctly (& this isn't from a forum discussion, this was from a law enforcement website my brother hooked me up with) the guy was going just way too damn fast theu the curve, the bike slid out and hit the guardrail/tree/curb or something, and the just the momentum dragged/bounced/rolled and carried him the rest of the way, doing the damage as he went.

They drive on the left side of the road in Australia. This picture it looks like they drive on the right side based on the sign on the right side.

I've seen this before too. I vote for it being a US hwy since I don't see any Kangaroos hopping around. I also don't see anyone cooking shrimp on a barby. Definitely US.
