Yeah, I saw that, I was at work right near by when it happened. I think there was another fatal accident near by in Greenbelt on 193 last night.

Yeah. The video footage looked like it was a black bike, perhaps a sportbike or sport tourer, but they were not at all clear, so I could be wrong about that.

Police said the crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. and involved four vehicles -- two trucks and two sedans -- and a motorcycle.

What motorcycles don't count???

From WashingtonPost.com:

Though detectives were still trying to reconstruct events, a news release from the U.S. Park Police said an initial investigation indicated that the collision was triggered when one of the cars crossed the parkway's grassy median into oncoming traffic and struck at least one other vehicle.

Sgt. Robert Lachance, spokesman for the Park Police, said that after the accident, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a silver Mitsubishi Laser ended up in the median. The Mitsubishi was overturned and was extensively damaged.

A third vehicle, a Ford F-150 pickup, had run off the right side of the road and was about 20 to 30 feet deep in the wooded area that lines the parkway.
