Crash on Crest Hill in Fauquier - April 19, 2009, 03:33 PM

Police had Crest Hill closed down this afternoon at the shitty little bridge a couple miles from Rt. 522. A bike went down, the copper said it was going to be a little while before the road opened back up. It didn't sound good...

A lot of people are rusty, but aren't riding that way. Then there is just bad luck of the draw.

there is a nice little bump in the road right before you hit that bridge and it can really take you by surprise if you don't take it right.

We came through there about 2:30pm Sunday. One sportbike was down, 3 others present. Looked like he straightened out the curve, hit guardrail, and went over. Bike was pretty torn up and on flatbed. About 4 cop cars and other hangers on. Did not get rider status or detail, was more worried about all the cops checking out my barely legal motard.

Definitely a tricky road - mixed pavement and blind crests.
