crashes happen fast - July 16, 2006, 05:57 PM

Well there goes that beautiful new bike of mine. Was coming back down my road this afternoon and came to a stop behind 2 other cars for someone taking a left. All of a sudden arghhhhhhhhhh brakes locking up

Bam I get hit from behind and all I remember is looking at the sky. I think I landed on his hood then slid on top of the bike. My ankle is sore, think I might go to hospital to have it checked out. My bike is trashed dont know if totaled I guess I will have to have a shop determine that. Rim cut in half, pipe gone, rearsets broke off, the swingarm looks to be sitting off.

First thing I thought of when I got up was Noooooo my new bike, but it could have been worse. Wont keep me from riding any so hopefully I can get it fixed soon. Sucks I am going to Hatteras for over a week tomorrow. Pics will come soon. I guess my riding is done for the year as I am sure this wont get fixed before college starts up again.

Phucking people around here are incredible...good to hear you're ok...don't worry about the bike it will be replaced since they hit you from behind.

Make sure and go to the hospital and get checked out...they will have to pay the bill and don't hesitate to get a lawyer involved if they start giving you any grief.

Glad you're ok...not much you can do in that instance...

Could have been worse. Get checked and speedy recovery. I had 2 calls today, pulling to a gas station hit a rock that I didn't see, front wheel went whack, was able to save it. Another one at a light, a car can't decide if he's stopping or going, I locked my rear wheel, was able to save it.

So if anyone is gettin ready to sell an 04 zx6r in green hold up a second. I might actually even think about and 05 or 06. But in green of course. Thanks for the support I will try and get some pics of the damage tonight.

Definitely go get checked out and make the dipshit who hit you pay for it. That sucks. I'm really glad you're ok. I'm also really sorry about your bike, but you've got a pretty good attitude about it; shit happens and bikes are replaceable.
