Thumbs down Dude Hit on N. Capitol - April 17, 2012, 07:08 PM

I was stopped at a light on N. Capitol and Florida, when two guys lane split up through traffic past me. I didn't think much of it at the time, except that the trail guy looked like he almost took out a few side view mirrors while passing. As I veered off on Lincoln Rd. NE, I glanced to my left and saw the trail guy picking up his bike in the middle of the right lane on N. Cap. Evidently he clipped (or was clipped by) a car, since there was a chunk of cage lying on the ground too. He appeared unhurt and picked his bike up without any issue. I wonder what happened? Anyone know him?

What color was the bike? I know Jarvis lives out that way.

So cynical for such a youngin... The ones that think motorcyclists suck have probably been exposed to your shenanigans. LOL

There's bold riders and old riders, but damn few bold old riders.

I think the bike was black and yellow but I could be wrong. I only caught a quick glimpse while I was headed away on another street. Sucks.

It was a white bike with red wheels!

A lot of interesting people around here thats for sure. Other day, I saw bunch of dirt bikes and ATV's tearing it up around Trinidad and then later in the evening I saw some of them busted on Florida Ave. Kinda makes DC fun

Almost got run over crossing the street this week. I had the right of way and used the crosswalk.

As I was walking back home from Subway and crossing this intersection again, some SUV blatantly ran a red light as I was crossing the street again.

It's one of those intersections.

Thanks for the memories Mr. Clark.

Ah that would be Florida and 6th St

Sure have to do double check every time when crossing this street. Pretty soon 6th street is going to be a big thing so hopefully it will be improved somehow. What makes this intersection so dangerous is the layout which 6th street would hook to the left creating a lot of blind spot especially with the cars parking on the street.
