Very sad indeed.

Further illustrates that the application of justice in this country is not based on color unless you are talking about the color green.

This guy had been charged before and probably shouldn't have been driving.

I hope he pays for his offenses properly this time.

Another bad mototcycle crash...back home ins Charlotte, NC. Guy was thrown over the bridge on I-77 to the highway below I-85. Like 5-10min away from my parents house.

1 killed in motorcycle crash, falls from I- 77 to I-85 | WCNC.com Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that left one person dead.
The crash happened Sunday shortly after 4 p.m. on I-77. Officials tell NBC Charlotte two motorcycles were traveling over the I-77 bridge when both crashed.
Highway Patrol tells NBC Charlotte, the male and female drivers were engaged to be married. The motorcycles swipped one another causing both bikes to crash on the I-77 bridge.
The male driver, Nick Prianos, 47, fell from the bridge and onto I-85 southbound below. Trooper Jeff Nash said drivers on I-85 who witnessed the fall, stopped their cars and attemted to perform CPR.
Prianos was pronouned dead on the scene.
Medic transported his fiance, Jennifer Hendrix, to CMC Main with potentially life threatening injuries.
Trooper Nash says the crash remains under investigation, and witnesses are still being interviewed about the moments leading up to the crash.

Remember when sex was safe and motorcycles were dangerous?

I overheard a sheriffs deputy talking about this accident yesterday. He said the guy had a prior DUI charge and he was an attorney. He also said all they could charge him with was DUI at the scene and that manslaughter or similar charges would be forthcoming.

Also the deputy said there were 8 drinking and driving fatalities in the area this weekend.

I lost count of how many newly shredded crash barriers I've seen the past few days. Be safe all.

I see it at the VA courts website. . Mr. Mark Sgarlata had his lawyer, Todd Sanders, whittle down his previous charge of drunk driving (case GC11001522-00, Loudoun General District Court, 5-26-2011), to reckless driving, 60 days all suspended, with no days served, no probation, and only a six month PARTIAL restriction on his driving (to work, doctor, driving the kids, etc. was still O.K.

I knew Leia and unfortunately just learned of her death from the post. We were coworkers at Sprint years back. She was kind, lovable and a joy to work with. She will most certainly be missed.

The only way this guy walks now with a confession of 5 drinks, 2 different blood alcohol tests, a previous arrest for the same thing, and two dead people....is if he bribes somebody.

I don't see him getting away without 5+ years in jail. Hopefully a lot more than that.
