Fatal Crash 95 South by 198 - August 5, 2013, 09:10 AM

Hate to report this before the media comes out with some other crap. But we lost a brother last night. I had a group "Iftari" (act of breaking fast) planned for last night with a bunch of Muslim Riders in the DMV area. We had about 15-16 riders coming from Baltimore, and as were waiting for them to meet us, we get news that 3 of them went down.

Unfortunately, one of the riders did not make it, there was a lady that worked at Baltimore Trauma that just happened to be passing by, who stopped to help the downed rider. From what I understand they were giving him chest compressions and hitting him with defibrillator.

By the time we made it to the hospital he had already passed. We still dont know what exactly happened, and what caused these guys to go down. But am waiting for more info.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Name was Ahsan Asif. 22 years old.

RIP brother.

Sucks he died man but it sounds like you guys were booking it in traffic and these guys caused their own wreck. If you are going to play the game you have to know you could DIE. Not saying I don't haul ass on 95 but I know the risk. If you feel the need to haul ass all the time come out to Summit Point and go fast safely.

From what I gathered from talking to most of the group yesterday. They kept in group formation, and werent booking it. Apparently there were atleast 2 other groups of bikers that rolled through on 95, haulin ass. Not saying our group was goodie two shoes over here, but i dont think they were doing 120 plus through cars like some of the people were saying.

Well find out when the police report comes out...

This I'd the reason most people don't share reports of accidents on .net That is the most premature assumption that could be made from this thread.

I will reserve any judgement until more details are known but regardless of cause this is a painful loss of a very young life. And losing a friend is even more painful. Sorry for the loss you and your friends and community have experienced.

I am sorry I did look up the motorcycle crash on 95 by 198. I read what was reported and commented on. If this is the same wreck his helmet was split open. If it is not the same wreck then my bad.
