Fatal wreck in DC and MD today - June 22, 2008, 01:44 PM

Did anyone hear? Thoughts to family and friends and i hope they werent from our group. It was on yahoo local news, it didnt say what bike and all they had so far was a man in his 30's in the Navy Yard area. he was cut off by a dickass cager making a left turn and he bit it. so sad it makes me worry when i ride now with all these stupid shithead drivers around here. The other one was from DC and it said he was also cut off on M street.
RIP.

If the riders would have been following the rules, the thread would be: Fatal wreck in DC

Read it again. Not saying it's their fault. I'm saying I would be willing to bet they did NOT follow their rules. Riding 100+ is certainly breaking the rules, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.

I dont know if i fully believe the officer did not engage in a highspeed pursuit, why would you run if your not being chased. Then again blue lights in the mirrors can be pretty inspiring when riding a stolen bike. I would never wish such an outcome on anyone, even a bike thief though people that steal bikes are scum
