GSXR vs Deer - November 15, 2011, 09:35 AM

So coming home from pool last night had a little bambi decide to play a game of chicken with me... Well long story short Bambi went to meet his mother, My bike needs some fixin and I'm only hurt mentally from looking at my baby all broke up.

Was able to ride it home, Thanks to RileysDad who brought some string to tidy up the fairings and threw the bits in his truck. TODO: replace fairings/radiator. Install gun rack so I can just shoot the deer next time

Went to meet his mother in Deer Heaven or in the woods? You kept the bike up?

Deer Heaven, Yeah bike stayed on two, only damage was from bambi, no real "crash"

Man I forgot about the premise of Bambi! Must have blocked in from childhood memory.

Chris (mtnhigh) has an amazing story about hitting a deer, breaking his leg, and still keeping it up!

So you got totally lucky, sweet.

hehe. I'm gonna do E-Bay plastics, I've seen a few sets in person now and they look good. I'll probably keep the stock color scheme though since I have blue tank/rims and don't want to shell out another $$$ to have them match a new color. Race Plastics... lol tell you what, you do a track day next year and then we'll talk race plastics.

Sorry to hear about this. I got taken out by a deer a few years back so I know what it's like. Pretty scary.

I'm still amazed you kept it up.... Lucky it wasn't any bigger than it was cuz that would have sucked!

I'm sure there were some good pieces of meat to be had, but that honestly was the last thing on my mind.

<TANGENT> It's amazing how many people drive by and slow almost to a stop, look at you then roll out. Out of about 55 cars passing I had 6-7 stop and ask if I was ok etc.. Guess for this society having 12-13% of people give a shit is pretty good though.
