You wouldn't happen to have any articles or reputable sources of any kind referencing the incident.

I've exhausted my google-fu and all I've come up with is a comment a year ago by the guy this fund is for saying that he failed MSF because he didn't downshift to 1st gear during the emergency stop test. Unless he forgot to mention many other things he did wrong during the test, that's a lie. Which raises a red flag in my already hyper-skeptical mind.

Do not mean to be a dick, or insensitive, but I fell some sort of verification that this indeed did happen would make people a lot more likely to contribute.

I would be prepared to donate if there was some verification

The problem with sites like go fund me Is that there is very little verification

I have seen a lot of scams pop up on that site... Most recently a theft recovery fund for someone replacing music equipment That is almost certainly bullshit

It's sad but true. So many scams and dishonest events these days it's hard not to be a sceptic.

I cant find any news articles about it, but i worked with the guy for the last 1.5 years so i know its not a scam. I've been a member on .net for years and wouldnt post something like this if it was a scam.

it would probably help his case if you had a photo of him doing rehab or something. His twitter has a bunch of day after day updates on rehab but that doesn't really say much. Also his facebook (I think it's his) doesn't say much either, it's mostly private and all other people can see is a picture of him gassing up his Porsche. There's plenty of good reasons to be skeptical at this point since there isn't an article out there.
