Just curious where everyone is on this subject...

If you've never crashed, how long have you been riding?

Since I ride a motorcycle and consequently, have to crash it, I said 10-15 years. I've already been riding 12 years.

Actually, I crashed the 2nd year of riding. Not a major crash, all parties walked away. I had a bigger boo boo 4 years ago. No walking away on that one.

I'm too good to crash.

I've never on the street, but I think I've had my share on dirt (not just a typical dirt mishap, but some serious crashes.)

I've never crashed.

In 1995, I dropped my F3 once at a stop sign after having it for 2 or so months. I only scratched the exhaust, but heard my right knee make a sickening 'pop' as I tried in vain to keep the bike from falling. The knee will eventually need surgery, and thankfully there's orthoscopy (sp?), so I'm not expecting a major scar.

Prior to the street, I rode a KTM250 for three years on the dirt. My friends and I beat the crap out of the bike and ourselves. I don't count our dirt mishaps as crashes since the worst that happened was a friend racking himself as he went over the handlebars. His girlfriend was none too pleased.

So dirt 1992-1995, then consistent street from 1995 to present. I will say I used to ride alot faster than I do today. Something about the young invulnerable feeling.
