Just in, MC fatality on route 29 between MC/HC - April 9, 2013, 12:37 PM

My buddy just texted me about a MC accident right at the bridge on route 29 between Howard County and Montgomery county. Cops said it was a fatality and the news crews just arrived. Hope it is not someone anyone knows here.

RIP.......

In all seriousness, sucks to hear. It's that time of year folks, please be aware of your surroundings. Ride defensively......and aggressively, if necessary.

There was one in fredericksburg the other night too. Rider failed to turn. went straight through a turn and crashed into a building. Alcohol may have been involved. Bummer

Dang, RIP. Remember that cars have only begun to see bikers in droves over the past 72 hours or so. Actively looking for them hasn't sunk in yet.

+1 to what Castle said.

I am always surprised that many of these fatalities never make the news, given how much the local world dislikes bikes in general. Seems that the media would be all over it - LOOK how dangerous motorcycles are!!!

OR maybe I just don't watch the local news much?

Unfortunately that is all the info I have. I am sure this will be in the news later tonight. I know a few people who ride and live near by, so I'm hoping everyone I know who rides is ok.

My friend rode by and they still have the body covered in a white sheet. The only thing he could tell was it was a copper or orange colored motorcycle.

Yeah, right after the Reservoir going southbound on 29 leaving Howard county going into Montgomery.

Yeah, pavement isn't the greatest along that stretch. I had a close call along that stretch when traffic suddenly slowed as I was going over the bumps. Of course, I have no idea if that contributed in this incident. RIP
