The little Turk vs. Bambi - May 17, 2010, 09:55 AM

So on my way to work this morning (on Stuart Mill Road in Oakton), Bambi and her friend jumped over a fence and landed about 10 feet infront of me. One was in my lane, one was on the the double yellows. Needless to say i hit the one in my lane. I kept on the throttle, kept the bike straight, and threw Bambi to the side of the road. I am fine... the bike needs a couple parts... and i never hit the ground.

anyone have a 99-02 R6 fairing stay or head light laying around?

deer died in stress you dont want to eat that meat...although wasn't that the point of bulldogs...to bait bulls so they would be stressed out when they were killed???? so the meat was better?

I'm confused...it is better meat if the animal dies in stress or unstress?

I had an image in my head of you throwing the deer on the back of your bike...seated all nice and upright behind you but with it's head resting on your shoulder like it was a lil sleepy.

Was it a baby deer? You answered the question of whether or not it lived...
It's amazing to me that people can hit a deer on their bike and keep on riding... Good stuff!

as long as there is no leakage from the stomach or intestines then the meat is good.

in this case, i would say the meat is probably not good

I've heard people talking about when you kill animals and intend to eat them...depending on HOW they go depends on how the meat will taste...

Like an animal in stress would release some sort of toxin that would spoil or cause the meat to taste sour/bad/rotten.

Back in the day when bulldogs (think a english bulldog head on a pit bull body) were used to "toy" with the bulls so cause the bull to be stressed out or tired so the meat would be more tender or relaxed or flavorful before they killed it.

So I was asking WHICH is it????

Does meat from animals taste better if killed under stress or free of it???...and I was only asking b/c dude responded when is the deer jerkey gonna be ready.
