My crash, the bike, the re-build. - November 17, 2008, 05:15 PM

Well I am sure most recall the thread iw84u started in regards to the RT33 accident; See here.

My Tuono got pretty messed up but was lucky to make it out with any frame or fork damage.

Damage list includes: front fairing-destroyed, rear fairing-cracked, both seats-ripped/cracked, shift lever, dented oil tank, fuel tank support damaged, fuel pump came loose and the outlet on it broke off, fuel line-kinked, taillight lense-cracked, front turns-cracked, paint chipped from the fuel tank.

So, I tore it down, inspected the frame/forks, bars, the bars were a bit off but it is being fixed by simply realigning the risers.

I've began rebuilding it and repainting it, currently I waiting on woodcraft clip ons and a mille front fairing. -I am not enjoying the temporary hella driving lights and lack of windscreen.

Here's how the bike stands at the moment:

I will update the thread once my clip ons and front fairing arrive.

I kinda dig the "big tit" lights better than the factory housing. That thing looked like a Transformer face.

lol guys, the headlights look goofy but they work REALLY well.

Curt, I dunno man, the stock headlight is really goofy but I can't justify how it looks now.
