not sure if this counts as crash and rash. my first accident - April 22, 2010, 08:47 PM

my first accident. i was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on M st right by Wisconsin in georgetown. land rover in front of me tries to parallel park and doesn't see me right behind him. his bumper came towards me and i said awwwww shittt. then the sound of plastic braking. cmon man!!!

i think the bike is fine i am taking it to jonathan's work so he can check it out. i will also have another guy take a look at it. i rode it home going from 5mph slowly up to around 50mph and it felt fine

steering head/frame could be bent too. Check the yamaha specs for the wheel base dimension vs. a measurement you take, or better yet take it to a shop to check it. Hope you got her insurance info....and yes I'm assuming it's a women

Same thing happened to me....sorta. I went to run a light behind a tractor trailer when he punked out and stopped before going through the intersection. he started backing up and I was pretty close to the rear of his truck. He was backing up at a rate faster than I could push my FJR1300 from the seat and the lower bar on his trailer caught my front tire (over top)
I could have gotten off my bike and it would have still remained on 2 wheels.

The guy in the truck next to me was banging on teh truck driver's passenger door trying to get him to stop.

End result, broken front fender. That was it. Had the bike checked out top to bottom and that was the only thing wrong.

The driver offered to pay for the repair but I paid the $91 for a new front fender and chalked it up to me being an idiot.
