Perfect start to the new year - January 1, 2008, 04:00 AM

Around 1:30AM this morning I get a knock on the door. Curious to see who it was, I go open it and find it to be my neighbor. She was nice enough to inform me that someone had tipped over my bike.

....and it's all kinds of f#cked up. Bent handle bars, golf ball size dent in the tank, scratches all over it, clutch lever snapped.

Anyways.... How was your new year?

That happened to me once too! Sounds as though your bike had a lot more damage done to it than mine. At least someone came to tell you about it. I found mine when I came out suited up to ride. It was an interesting sight to see it on it's side, left rear turn signal snapped off and across the driveway, gas pouring out of it. Facking neighbors!

Hope the rest of the year is better for you

I've got a bike and I ride it year round. Nuff said

Damn, that is terrbile. Who the hell would knock a bike over, WTF!!

That's why mine is in a garage 100% of the time I'm no on it. Rent a garage much cheaper than dealing with this sht.

Hope you get it fixed soon, happy new year anyway

Can't choose between the R1 and the 10R so I am keeping both but settled with an 1198S when I came home

Keep it up!!!!!!!

WHen I lived in town, someone was nice enough to push both my covered bikes over in the parking lot. They were nice enough to push them OVER the kickstand resulting in a huge downward smack onto the asphalt. The cops knocked on my apartment door @ 3am saying someone had done just that.

It was sweeet! I bought a house 8 months later.

FYI - I put my bike on a rear stand, often with a cover it can catch enough air to tip the bike on it's own.. also rear stands may often confuse tippers into finding easier targets such as harleys, scooters, or cows.
