That's sad to hear, I rode VIR North with him and his crew and he's a good guy. I hope he heals up quickly and completely.

Heal up fast VON that is shocking news

If u all haven't heard, Maurice aka Moe aka Von aka Vonstallin (WERA/TPM/NESBA #325) had a pretty serious wreck yesterday while attending a morning td session at TPM's "GP MOTO" Premier Trackday/Race event at Summit Point yesterday. He suffered some internal injuries, some orthopaedic injuries, and took a pretty good ding on his head as well.
The incident:
Basically, he came thru t9 in a pretty controlled manner, good entry, good apex, good exit and upon standing the bike up and rolling on the throttle, he hit a downed bike that was out of his view laying on the outside of the track and commenced to "rag doll" down the track. (Apparently, prior to him going thru t9, another rider lowsided and this riders bike slid "forever" and finally stopped on the outside portion of the track a good ways from the exit point of t9 but before the bridge going into t10.)
I "WANT" to say that "we ALL know that it could have been a lot worst, especially with ol' Moe, his heavy throttle hand, and the fact that he hit a stationary object while accelerating on a 165+ hp racebike" but I can't right now because he's in critical condition.
Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Here's the website if u have any questions about the location of the hospital or whatever...
http://www.whcenter.org
His name is Maurice Chesley. He's in room 3G8 (Intensive Care). He's in Critical condition as of right now so don't be surprised if u visit him and he's on a ventilator or has a bunch of tubes coming out of his body.
Visiting hours are from 9am-9pm.
*To any of the old crew, I don't think he'd mind if u put up a post on RR or whatever. Also, I'm guessing his myspace friends prolly would like to know as well so any of u myspacer's can drop a note on his myspace account as well...
GET WELL SOON, MOE!!!
