Say a Prayer - July 30, 2008, 10:10 AM

This was why I wasn't in the greatest mood yesterday. I had to transport his wife and see his young children that won't have a daddy to call on. Keep them in your prayers. They came to the SPOT once just last week.

http://www.nbc4.com/news/17027274/detail.html

I had rode on the same road and same side less than 10 minutes before he did.

Will keep them in my thoughts and prayers, G-dog -- and you too. Thank you for all you do for your district.

Death is such a sobering and surreal event when you are in any way connected with the person.

My best wishes to his family. rip.

Oh man I hate these stories... even worse when the accident description is so vague as "lost control".

Always makes me think "wheelie gone bad" ... but you don't know... so you wonder if someone sideswiped him, or if it was mechanical, or what. The loss of a loved one is hard enough, but not knowing what happened... ugh - that would eat at me.

This is my biggest fear. Not wrecking, not getting hurt...having someone explain to my daughter why I won't be coming home. I ride because I love it. I have been hooked on bikes since I was a kid. It is so sad to hear about another rider going down. Respect to the first responders who have to see this everyday. Best wishes to the family and friends. RIP.
