Shadow bites the dust - October 4, 2011, 02:11 PM

I was on my way to MHK and saw a guy lying on the ground next to his Shadow. A minivan came right out like he wasn't even there and the bike T-boned the car. Literally about 100 yards away from MHK. I rode it to MHK for him because he was going to the hospital and didn't want his bike to get towed. He just called to say thanks and that he's alright. Broken leg and his knuckles are scraped up pretty bad. Other than that, not too bad.

He was wearing a full face helmet, jeans, Cortech jacket and boots, so it could have been a LOT worse. The really sad part is that it's a brank-spankin' new Shadow!

Seriously, these cagers need to start paying better attention. Luckily the speed limit there is 25 mph, if he had been doing 50 I'm sure he'd be hurting pretty bad.

Seriously. I turned out onto northbound Georgia Ave from my side street this morning, and the road was basically empty, the sun was shining, and there was a big crew of work-release dudes cleaning up the median so I yut ughhh'd a nice one past them, you know to brighten their day a little. I even looked at them and nodded as I rolled past on the rear wheel. Then right up ahead at the next intersection was this dumb old beyotch starting to make a left turn across my right-of-way. I had to get on the brakes hard and ended up killing the engine from locking up the rear. Just the antics of another brain-dead geriatric cager, harshing on my public stunting. The nerve of some people!
