That looked like the exact same turn. Rossi lost the front. Stoner looked like he went into that corner drifting the rear out lol

I wonder if Rossi is crying to go back to Yamaha. I would say he didn't expect this kind of season and neither did Ducati

he will prevail.....
They hired him to help build a bike that more racers can ride.
Stoner is good and the bike suited him.

Nicky is getting better, but some of the changes are making Rossi go backwards. Nicky is on the old chasis and holding well, and Rossi is on the new Chasis and seems to be falling back. Well he did go from 16th to 9th i think.

Your right he did finish 9th in that race. It will take some time until he's back on top. He did mention that the bike was not well suited for him and he's thinking about returning to the older Ducati. I think he still has what it takes.

He is testing out the GP 11.1 chasis (the 2012 chasis made for the 1000).
Nicky is still on the GP 11 chasis, but I am not worried.

This is what Rossi do for a living, and is hired for...he just have more work cut out for him. Some riders are strictly there to ride, while some are paid the extra big bucks to ride and develop the bikes. I think JLO will start to fall back some without Rossi helping develope the bike. He is the primary now, and Ben is the secondary....but I think Ben is more technical and within about another season can become a lead developer of the bike also. Development of the bike is only going to go as far as your riders. Most have development riders who are former racers, but most times when you see them do one off rides, they are always in the back.

It almost sounds like they need to start from the ground up with the Chasis. Its a all carbon fibre chasis and may not be ideal.

So far Honda is killing everyone with the new transmission...(one that never interrupts drive, seemlessly engaging the next gear). Ducatti just installed there version of it durring the Assens round. This could be whats helping Nicky out some.

Nicky Hayden will receive the 2012 chassis at Laguna Seca when he is next scheduled for an engine swap (remember, MotoGP riders are limited to the number of engines they may use each year, and Hayden has used one more than Rossi so far).

That Honda gearbox is insane. I wonder if Rossi is going to have any major changes made to his bike at Laguna Seca.

i need to look up the spects/tech on it...i know what they are saying, but not sure how it can give that much of an advantage over other riders. I mean shit..every race you have 3 to 4 hondas in the top 5-6 spots going for it. Only Tony Elias is falling behind. I wonder if they gave him some old junk to ride.

I'm not sure why I didnt know this...but I found out this year that World Super bikes have clutchless down shifts....everyone (including me) have clutchless upshifts...aka quick shifters...but didnt know they had it for going down in the gear box.

Thats a seemless and smooth shift...so I have no idea how or what the moto GP tranny is doing...sounds like the bike must feel like an electric bike or something.
