ROFL!

Rough weekend for you brother. You're not a "crasher" and you certainly got your share. Rubbing is racing, and it just gets truer the longer I race, but with that comes the expectation that the person you're laying on, or executing 80mph turns with inches away, is going to respond predictably, and wisely.

Having been taken out this weekend on my very first race, in the very first corner, by a gentleman who out-rode his brakes I can only sympathize with you, and be grateful that we are both ok. Thankfully my bike didn't get trashed like yours did.

shit happens in a race...we all know that's part of racing. There are times we fuck up, fact is when it happens the thing to do is apologize. Glad to hear you're ok...the guy should have at least apologized rather than have the "oh well" attitude.

We all know the risks...which is why racing VS trackdays has a substantial difference however...although we're all aiming to finish in front of each other, there is an unspoken courtesy that goes beyond competition...a win is not worth taking another rider out PERIOD no matter what level of racing. Rubbing sure...all out hit? I know we've all had an incident at some point, and I know we'll all have incidents in the future as well but damn...to carry an attitude like that...hats off to you for maintaining your composure the way you did.

Pay back is a bitch...go get'em

He couldn't even have said "my bad" or dang dude I'm sorry? What a dbag. I have no experience in racing but seems he should help cover some of the costs seeing as it was his fault completley. You got a lotta self-restraint, dunno how some other people would've reacted to some idiot destroying your bike.

I would have probably punched his lights out. But that's not conducive to good reputation, nor does it help your sponsors or your bike costs.

You did well, Chris.

I agree...you held your composure very well. I on the other hand wouldn't have thought twice about knocking his ass out...and would have suffered the consequences of suspension and going to jail.

You are a rare breed sir

hopefully karma will return the favor to him

Its the "I had to slow down so I hit you." that kills me, not "I couldnt slow down so I hit you, sorry."

Wuh-facking-ow!! Whatta dick!!

Not sure what I could do for ya since you got a master mechanic and you probably know waaaay more about bikes than I ever will.....but, I could fan you with a big olive leaf at the next Summit event for 30 minutes? Bring you a 12-pack of ice cold beverages of your choice at the next Summit event? I don't know...you name it. Just please, no feeding you grapes.

Seriously, way to keep your composure, dude. He is obviously not worth the time. Maybe he'll come to his senses and make a sincere attempt at an apology of some sort. I probably would've wanted to throw the bike on him and ask him how it felt.
