Tree Branches Falling from the Sky!! - August 25, 2010, 12:55 PM

Just thought I would share an interesting story from sunday evening. I was riding with a few other members of "Guilty-Ones" sunday evening fairly close to middleburg. As we rolled down a road lined with large trees on both side we come out of a right hand curve which then opens up fairly straight. As we move along there are three bikes in front of myself. As they pass, a dead branch must have been shaken loose by the exhaust of the passing bikes. I notice something quickly moving towards me only to my suprise it was a dead tree branch which merely missed the top of my head and crashed directly behind me. Luckily the two behind me were a little ways back and were able to avoid the branch scattered on the road. I looked back to make sure they were clear and noticed this branch was about 5-6 ft and a good 8 inches around. Just thought I'd share what could have been very bad but ended up as a funny story.
