two weeks ago or so. - April 9, 2006, 08:04 PM

Two weeks ago or so a 17 year old in dad's SUV rear ended me .. I was close to stopped and he hit me around 30-35 or so. I flew. He crunched the rear wheel, swing arm, and tore off the subframe of my sv1000 the day after I put a pair of yosh trs on it. Aye!!!

Anyone got anything cool for sale? I'm looking for another standard bike or a chopper..

That's a helluva impact - esp on a bike. I got rear ended on Fri in my cage at 20 and I was pretty sore the next day.

Thanks. - April 12, 2006, 12:38 PM

Thanks guys. Yeah. I have flash backs of the impact. Such an strange feeling. It hurt. I do have all my fingers and I can walk! Neck pain..

Asid from that, I just heard back from the insurance. It's lunched. A total loss.

Now the question is buy back. It's a good deal it's at about 10 percent of the cost... The only down side is I don't have a shop to part it out. The only thing good on it is the engine and front end maybe. The local shops here to don't have the lazer equipment to see if the frame is bent .. though it doesn't appear to be.

To rebuild or move on to the next thing.. That's the question... I don't think it's worth it to get a shop to do it. If I had a house, it'd ebay all the parts and do it my self.. But.. well you know.. who's got the time?

Usually easier to take the check and start looking for what you want next. Start fresh on a new bike when you're ready. Glad you're ok, the DMV needs to add more pages to it's booklets to make drivers more aware of motorcyclists!!

Perfect, but I think I'm going to let it go. I'll post the fate of the bike. One of us will part it out... I wish I had a shop... It would be worth it. A grand for the engine, a Grand for the frame. ...

Yeah.. the RC51's are cool. Still not sure what's next...
