It happens man. If you thought it wouldn't you'd be dreaming. Hope you learned from it and glad you got out of it without any serious injuries or financial damage. Now shake it off and get back on.

When it comes to Turk, I'm never quite sure if he's talking about M/C or premature ejaculation with his boyfriend.

Glad it wasn't too bad. These are the reasons I stay away from spirited riding on the streets. I've been down and seen many others go down on street rides and I can tell you it's just not worth it.

Stick to the track for fun. This is probably a good time to get yourself into trackdays and motorcycle schools.

So what have you learned from this? How are you going to avoid these issues in the future? What are you prepared to do to improve your riding?

I'm doing the California Superbike School in May for the fourth year in a row. It reminds me of how much more I have to do to improve my riding. I'm planning to do the the YCRS as well. That combined with TDs has made me a much better rider. I generally don't push it on the street, and street speeds are so much lower than the track, it makes it easier to focus on the very real hazzards of riding on the street.

This is just what I do to minimize risks, your views may vary.

Man. I am so envious. I really want to do th YCRS. I've met Nick several times. He posts on the FZ1 forum from time to time. He has a FZ1 and I hooked him up with Ivan to get his ECU flashed. I have been trying to get a buddy to go with me. When are you planning on going?

I'm going to the CSS May 9th. I was thinking of going to YCRS at INDE in AZ because my son will be stationed at Ft Bliss which is not too far away. If he can't make it I might do the 1 day class at NJMP next year.

I did YCRS a long time ago when it was with Jamie James and Scott Russell. In terms of bang for buck i felt like Cornerspin and Texas Tornado Boot Camp were better for street riding.

Excellent and true advice, you have just learned a lesson, but its only valuable if you apply the knowledge.

Oh and if the helmet took a hit, its now useless, the foam in the helmets are designed to compress and absorb shock, once they have done so they never will again with the same efficiency. Sucks, but its what they are for, I really liked my last Arai...

I tumbled in my Arai but sent it back to the factory and they said it was good.

don't have anything to say that these guys haven't already covered, other than that "teachable moments" happen to everyone now and again.

I have a stock s3 bar you can borrow for a bit. I was planning on refitting it at one point, buuuut, other things to sort first. like that the brake lines will need to be replaced in order to do so. although, come to think of it, I think I have some stock ones lying around.

we still on for sat am?
