I havenít met any of you but I was planning on changing that last night at the TWT evet in laurel. I mistakenly got off on 198 instead of 197 (itís only one off and I havenít lived here long...it said Laurel...leave me alone) Anyway after realizing my mistake I turned around and started for the on ramp to 295south. Mid corner I see a sign about a bump in the road. I was only going about 30 so I pulled the front brake to slow down and straighten up the bike. Well the sign was at the bump and it was a pretty decent sized bump. To make a long story shortÖI hit the bump and was sent flying off the bike. My knee took a pretty good whacking but I was able to walk over to the BK to wait for a friend (on a side note the stares I got from the BK employees as I ate my whopper with blood all over my arm and leg were kinda comical) We got it loaded into my friends trailer and brought it home. I took a quick look at it today and the outside doesnít look too bad. All the damage / rash is on the right side. The engine was running for a few seconds while it was down (I remember standing up and thinking ďat least itís still runningĒ) then it abruptly quit and now wont start. Itís like something is mechanically holding it back. Iím praying itís just the starter but weíll see tomorrow when I remove the fairings. Ripped the jacket (could have been my skinÖso $200 well spent) and ripped my favorite jeans. Had I been wearing leather pants Iíd probably be unscathed. Anyway in the end Iím okÖa little sore but fine. Sorry to not have made it to the even as I truly was looking forward to meeting everyone. Hopefully Iíll have everything fixed soon as this is PUUUURFECT riding weather.

Pics can be found here:
http://home.comcast.net/~kristofer_h...e-skip-10.html

By the way the pic of me on the bike in shorts and a t-short was when I first bought it and was just posingÖso save the yelling

And quick warning...the injury wasn't bad...but if you have a weak stomach there is some blood in the one pic. It's not bad but the wussies have been warned.

as for mdot being responsible, a friend of mine got his rims paid for because of potholes. he hit one and tacoed his rim and took pics right then and there and got them to pay for the rims. don't know the particulars about the case but it worked!

DUDE! Sorry you went down, and I'm glad you're okay... Did you check to see if your bike has a "tipover switch"?
