Wisconsin Avenue Closed as Police Investigate Fatal Accident
Updated: Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 - 12:03 PM

WASHINGTON - A fatal accident shut down a major commuter route through Northwest Tuesday morning. All morning Metropolitan Police have been reconstructing the Wisconsin Avenue accident that killed a motorcycle driver who was trapped under a dump truck.

The accident happened at 7 a.m. in the 3800 block of Wisconsin Avenue as the 25-ton dump truck was turning into the construction site at Sidwell Friends school.

Wisconsin Avenue between Upton and Porter Streets, while south of Tenleytown, remained closed in both directions jsut before noon.
Police are waiting for a positive identification of the cyclist so they can notify the next of kin.

It looks like it was sadly pretty grisly:

R.I.P. and best wishes to the family and friends.

Anyone have connection to the FZ6 boards? I am pretty sure that is the model of the motorcycle, and we may be able to find more information.
