Dude, you wouldn't believe the amount of people blaming the car in the thread for this on Reddit. Most of them were Americans. The Europeans seemed to understand that the riders caused this.

rider's fault for having shitty instincts and braking/ swerving skills.

I hate to Monday morning quarterback it, but that looked avoidable.

They were still on the gas at around 90mph (not sure of the speed - a little hard to read) with cars plainly in view lined up to cross a grade level intersection in front of them. That is not good riding. The car of course did violate the right of way, but you can't expect them to be looking for traffic coming at close to twice the posted limit. Well I guess you can, but the end result will be what you saw in the video.

Circumstances matter, news at 11.

Speeding, by itself, isn't inherently unsafe.

Remember the risk ladder from the MSF course? Every risk factor puts you a rung higher on the ladder.

How many rungs can you count with these knuckleheads? I count way more than one.

Yep. Not a cars fault for pulling out into the road when the traffic is better than twice the legal limit. It's been proven through science that distance perception at speed is a big problem

Sure most of us if not all of us have sped, but you have to be looking way ahead and slow down when you see a vehicle up ahead that could violate your right away. They can come from either direction or even be a vehicle you are passing. Or when you go around a blind corner, or when road conditions are bad or when lighting conditions aren't good or when overtaking a large vehicle, as you never know what that large vehicle is hiding, etc. Basically you always have to be asking "What if" and have a plan to handle it. If you can't handle that "What if" at your current speed, then you are going to fast.
