2011 TWT Suggestion Thread - February 4, 2011, 07:55 AM

So with many, many, many requests, I am starting back up TWT this season. For those of you who don't know what it is, TWT used to be a show on Speed channel back in the day which stood for Two Wheel Tuesday.

It was an excuse for everyone to get out of their houses on Tuesday, ride to a different bike-friendly bar/restaurant and socialize.

After the show was cancelled, we still kept the event as it was a good time for everyone who came out. At its peak we were getting 120+ bikes out.

So, if you have a suggestion for a location for TWT, post it up here. It helps if they have good parking available either out front or nearby where people can see their bikes.

I'll try to work with the owners of the establishments to get free soda or other deals for all who attend -- they usually hook us up on things like this.

Looking forward to it getting warmer!

Rob

I like that place and alot of people on here know management so im sure they will work some kind of deal out... Funny I was thinking of that place (since I dont know many va Places)

*Primetime in FairFax.

*Car Pool in Cleardon Va? (i guess thats what it is called) Parking is tight, but tuesday night might be ok. They have pool tables also and good sections.

*Grevey's in Merrifield (rigth off rt 50 and not far from the carnage ride meet ups)

of course DC's classic...

*Asylums in Adams Morgan.
I would love more DC spots, but I can't honestly think of a all around good one that will encompase shit like parking and a place that wants morotcycles other than Asylum. I remember when Bar Pilar on 14th st was on the TWT list. They had 2 sponsored racers on kaw 600's there.

I believe last time there were a lot of reston and ashburn spots, perhaps that's why attandance declined? Any place in ffx is good with me it's not too far.

True.
i look up maps of the last year TWT spots and they where Hikes. FFX seems to be a decent central location that will pull in the peps north of DC and south of DC.

I seem to remember we had a few at Grevey's in Merrifield.

And was it Hard Times in Springfield where they used to give us the whole upper level?

How about Kilroy's in Springfield (Braddock & 495). The off-road club I used to be in had club meetings there on the patio (enclosed and heated in the winter).

I like the Virginia Grill in Occoquan. It has a large outdoor deck that overlooks the river and lots of parking. They have really good cheeseburgers too.
I'm down for anywhere between DC and Woodbridge and Fairfax. Ashburn is far away.
