6/18 PG/CH/STM Ride *****CANCELED****** - June 15, 2011, 07:55 AM

9am roll out from the 7-11/gas station on the corner shopping center of rte 210 and rte 228 in Accokeek, MD.

Moderate pace, group determins the pace.

Plan to roll from 9 sharp until about 130. Should get us about 200 miles of backroad twists.

Stopping to regroup at all stops and splits.

*******I really dont trust that the roads I ride will be dry in the morning, seeing as though most are under a canopy of trees. and with the storms there will be lots of run off on the roads. So for the safety of the riders I am gonna cancel the ride.........**********

I love early morning sat rides, and was about to say "in" but a quick map search shows 50 miles of highway slab to just to get to meet up spot.

I might still come, hopefully someone posts a fredneck ride soon ...

Nobody wants to be on a hot ass bike at 1-3pm (hottest part of the day) with the sun blazing. Makes the ride, no matter how fast/fun, un-enjoyable. Traffic gets worse later in the day. Plus people have other shit to do.

You think 9am is early riding!!! than you really wouldn't like 7am-8am rides meeting up and heading out. Not to mention get home before 7-9pm the same night. They're calling for saturday temp to be 80-90 degrees and you think that hot!!!! I'm at a lose for words!

Hey I havent gotten a real response of any riders coming out this time for the ride, maybe because of fathers day, or weather, or who knows.

I really dont trust that the roads I ride will be dry in the morning, seeing as though most are under a canopy of trees. and with the storms there will be lots of run off on the roads. So for the safety of the riders I am gonna cancel the ride.........

Sorry
