Air fence at Summit - May 3, 2006, 09:08 PM

Ok when I posted this before alot of people said that they were in to help.... here's your chance.

I meant to get this out to everyone two weeks ago and I am sorry on the short notice.

We have had Andy Curro with the PA Posse step up and has taken over as National event and East coast event supervisor for Air Fence. Andy has been to several events already and has proven himself a very capable leader in getting air fence deployed properly and handling repairs. The Midwest rounds the MCRA has stepped up to handle storage (David Myers), deployment (MCRA safety crew), repair and the transport (multiple MCRA members) to and from HeartlandPark. Thank you to these very generous people for their time and effort.

I will be attending the Summit Point round this weekend to help with instruction of Air Fence at this track and then handing over duties to Andy for the weekend while I assist in Timing and Scoring.

The plan is too met at Pit Out at 5pm on Friday and we will do the actual instruction in Turn 4 for the inflatable sections.

The attachment is a guide that I have worked out over the years of deploying/maintaining air fence and with help from the makers of the different products we use (currently we have only the Air Fence brand Air Fence)

Oh, and I was gonna try to make it to the track on Sunday to cheer you on.

It is Safer. They have tires to slow you down if you wreck now. Tires or Air Fence, i'll pick to hit the air fence anyday over a tire wall.

Yes, but how do WE help? I'll wave the pom poms all day until someone tells me what to do!

Do we have to blow it up like pool swimmies?

Based on his earlier thread, I think they are looking for people that would be willing to learn how to care for, deploy, repair, and store Air Fence at Summit Point.

Here is his old thread:
