Any dual sport guys want to play in the snow today?!? - January 30, 2010, 09:24 AM

So it looks like the snow is finally coming and if the snow removal process is anywhere as slow as it was during the last snow there should be plenty of fun to be had on some back roads and trail ways. So if you want to ride later post up. Or if you see a blue dual sport drifting sideways down the road wave

Your nuts! I took my old 600rr out in a light dusting last year and I don't think I ever quit spinning. Your welcome to come out if you like but I don't want to see a crash so I'm riding up front

Snow-christened the SMC today - January 30, 2010, 11:24 AM

I just got in from about 10 miles in it, most of which were on yet-to-be-treated roads. I'm not going to pretend like it was a blast. In fact, it was stressful--front end was all over the place, and I thought it would drop out from under me any moment. Some dumb beyotch was riding my ass on the home stretch too. I kept tapping my brakes and waving her off to no avail so I finally just slowed to about 5 mph in the middle of northbound Georgia Ave, and she finally went around. Old Chinese woman in full white-knuckle panic mode.

^^^you're nuts! once those tread blocks get packed with snow, you might as well be on slicks.

LOL @ the chinese woman. I HATE people who cannot drive in inclimate weather. Stay the fook off the road before you kill yourself and someone else.

Haha, I just put the death wings back on...I figured I'd be riding more street than dirt for a couple months, so I'd rather wear those out than the knobbies (MT21 rear, D606 front). I'll throw those back on when I start getting into more dirt and mud.

Just got about an hour and some change worth of "spinning" in the snow (mostly in large circles trying to drift it out).

I'm sure all the neighbors hate me now

Yup took the TTR-150 out and had a blast. Full on Super Moto style! Only went down a couple times.

I just bit the dust with the GoPro running.

Snow conceals the curb so well

Only casualty is a bent shift lever & a little bruise over an old rash wound.
