Any SV'ers up for a ride tomorrow? - July 2, 2009, 10:48 PM

Thinking about an SV only ride to go ride tomorrow... would leave FFX in the AM (7/3) potentially for PA to get some fireworks

PM for more details.

I see all the specific rides for other things - so just reaching out to the SV kids for this one.

I can't play today. Too much to finish at the house so I can move. Plus, you have my bike.

bleaurgh .... nothing like missing out on an SV ride ... feel free to drop me a line as well

On bright notes, I missed out because I was Cornerworking Summit Point on Turn One. And the ride there and back was rather nice (Very few folks out on the road at 600am, and on the way back at 7pm.)

We had four crashes in turn one by the end of the day ... One Yahama who ended up with his bike in the mud, a red SV650, two 125cc two-strokes and a couple of minor mechanicals where they had to pull the bikes into the pull-off area. No apparent major injuries.

They have apparently done some track work in turn one, and the repair gives a rippled effect to a section of the track coming into the turn that seems to cause some front end instability for a number of the riders.

On the SV News Front: Rachel from RnR ended up out-riding another rider while on her SV650 (a CBR 600 I believe). The other rider apparently was trying to match her performance, and ended up being not quite up to the task. They found themselves off the track and in the gravel pit in turn 5, and needed to have a pickup to get towed back to the pits due to equipment damage.
