Baltimore/Washington Ride for Kids - September 27, 2009 - August 29, 2009, 06:04 AM

You only need to raise $35 to ride in this event on 27 Sep - but you can
raise a lot more through setting up a free page thru
http://www.firstgiving.org/ It's a great police-escorted ride in the
beautiful Howard County countryside and an event you will want to come
back to again and again. Go to www.ride4kids.org for full detail - I
have included a summary below. This will make #16 for me and Mike and I
have ridden together in it for about the last 10 or so.

Baltimore/Washington
Ride For Kids(r)
Sunday, September 27th, 2009
Registration opens at 0730 at the Columbia Mall. Come join thousands of
your motorcyclist friends and help us help the medical research
community find the cause and the cure of childhood brain tumors. When
you ride with us side by side in that endless column of bikes, people
waving at you a every turn, you know you're making a positive statement
for our sport at the same time.

Thanks to every one of our participants, we raised over $285,000 in 2008
towards finding the casue and cure for Pediatric Brain Tumors, and our
goal for 2009 is to raise a minimum of $285,000 to fight this deadly
disease.

The minimum donation to participate in this event is $35. For every $300
raised by participants, you will be entered into a drawing to win a
brand new 2009 Honda VTX donated by American Honda.

Based upon the amount of donations raised, premiums will be distributed
to our ride participants as follows:

I've done the Ride the last 5 years, haven't been too hyped on it this year. I should be there Sunday morning though, gotta keep the streak alive. If anyone is thinking about it, it is a great experience and worth your time and the small minimum donation.
