Carlisle Bike Fest - May 31, 2011, 07:27 PM

Is the Carlisle Bike Fest worth a day trip? It looks like the largest summer bike show within spitting distance of DC...

Yeah it's a good show. Just beware that the state and local PD are all over every road whenever there is a show. Just a warning

Looks like both Yamaha and Kawasaki will be there:

Kawasaki Ticket to Ride: Carlisle Bike Week Overview

Which of the days is typically lighter attendance-wise? I'd take the Friday off work and head up if I had a better chance of riding the bikes I wanted...

Call me tomorrow... I may or may not have one in my possession right now.

And yes... it will be at Carlisle available for demo.

Just saw this. Unsure as of right now, but if I go I'll most likely be doing the camping thing on site and stay through the weekend. Or maybe camp at a park nearby and ride in for a day or two.

I'm leery about bike weeks though. I even get a bit bored at Bike Week in Daytona. I wish they would combine bike weeks with car shows.

Ive done this trip two times. Set something up a few years ago on DOt Com.
It was ok at best. For me. The stunt show was ok, the speacial bikes where decent. mostly cruisers (like 90%). to pack and far away to see the bikini contest. They had Bike Trials.
