Chris's condition - September 6, 2008, 12:44 PM

After about a week of wondering Chris's wife gave me a call a few minutes ago. She said Chris is still in the hospital and he was hurt worse than just a broken leg.

details on his leg.
-broken femur
-broken fibula and tibia
-broken knee
-ankle smashed several broken bones and his heel bone was pushed out the back of his foot.
-missing one main vein that goes into his foot, he may loose his foot because of it but they are trying to save it.

Other injuries
-broken shoulder
-fractured neck
-fractured back
-compressed disks
-road rash
-broken rib, or ribs along with a lot of other things wrong.

Chris has started his long road to recovery and is on lots of pain meds. Wish him the best of luck.

he should be ok, they are talking to a plastic surgeon to try and save his foot.

The ride was chill and he was only doing a little above the speed limit when his back tire blew out going into a turn. He would have only had minor injuries if he hadn't hit a boulder on the side of the road when he fell.
