Anyone going? Think I am going to make it this year? I went up on Sat last year and watched the dragging. Going to hit it Sunday to catch all the events this year.

Weather looking like 90 and not 10000000 so should be OK day.

Ended up going to this today with some folks. The weather was brutal but it was entertaining. Plenty of events going on from Big Tiggers Bikini contest, to the stunt show and plenty of drag races.
I will admit that Gogo has grown on me so I enjoyed the concert also.

Since this is new to me, I don't know how the previous years have been but in my opinion it was straight. Plenty of bikes there for show and plenty of impressive drag races. (people were hitting low 8's in the quarter mile)

What stood out though was two people walking around with blood and cuts. One persons white tee was drenched in blood. I originally thought they were in a fight but it was still very odd. They had cuts on their face, arms and everything. (that's why wearing gear is important)

When i left there were cops around my bike. There was a report of a hit and run accident , so cops showed up looking for a bike that appeared damaged and matched the description. They assumed the biker would be at MIR. Come to find out that that particular bike was 2 down from mine. It was being loaded up in a wrecker. And the cops were in full force looking for dude. I'm sure they got him because they were deep and pressed. Charles county doesn't play.
Maybe the bloodied guy owned that bike. Who knows.

Leaving they had 6 cars up the street blocking the road and pulling bikers over left and right.

My boy ended up getting pulled over earlier that morning. The cop was in a green chevy blazer so he didn't even see him. The cop didn't expect him to pull over though so just cursed him out and let him roll. No ticket.

Anyway that's my quick summary.

Hot as hell, but it was good times as usual............

stunt show was nice....

races were nice......

women were nice.....

lots of vendors and great deals were being offered.....

I will post my video soon.....

There was a bad bike accident on 236, the back road to MIR, and they were turning everyone around so we had to find other roads to get us to MIR.... it was nice seeing the other country roads down there... We were thrown off maybe an extra 20 mins.....

I saw the police checking tags at the event and saw a bike get towed away.... Looked like a blue Kawi with temp tags....

Now leaving was a whole other issue........

The police were pulling EVERY bike over.....

checking tags and registration........

the police were standing in the middle of the road, and pulling all bikes to the side of the road.....

Maybe 5 mins down the road from MIR...

not even on 301 yet.......

that blue kawi was the one in the accident.
women were real nice.
How about that girl that was booed at the bikini contest who got 2nd place. lol.

Cops were pulling everybody over on that road. Luckily they didn't mess with us.
We rolled out after the bikini contest. I was out all day and wanted to call it a day.
La Plata made a lot of money in ticket revenue. Cops made their quota in one day.

Still a good time.

YEP...im seconding everything said right here. We On the way home, was at gas station with wrecked bike and the rest of them. Everyone looked to be fine, not sure if the person in the accident was with them. But yep stopped to check tags/helmet. Didnt really go through registration. Just made sure plates were visible and helmets were DOT.

Maybe it was just me, but I expected a little more meat on the bikini girls. Should of basically been a model contest in my eyes. When I go looking for bikini's I am looking for them to be properly filled with T&A.

The bike I like the most. And more so for the fact that it was a ladies bike and she had did/got most of the work done on it. You see her homegirl right there with the ICE.

The cops cracking down on everybody like that is the kind of publicity that could potentially kill the event for the upcoming years. Don't they know how much revenue these events bring into the city?!

Either way, I wish I would've gone. I like checking out all those custom bikes.
