End of summer Deals Gap interest thread... - September 10, 2007, 04:43 PM

I'm thinking of going down to the Gap for a few days during the first week of October. Either Sept. 29-Oct 3 or Oct 3 to 7.

The plan is to do all the famous twisty roads down there, including 129 (Deals Gap), 421 (Motorcyle Playground), Blood Mtn, Wolf Pen's Gap, etc...

Any interest? Post if either time frame doesn't work for you. (the weather might make the choice for us though.)

Whichever, hopefully riding. Since days will be shorter, we would have to pick a shorter route down there if riding.

I would very much like to go, but I would be more interested in trailering.. straight highway does nothing for me on a bike.

If we ride down, there will be near-zero highway/main roads.

The ride down is about as good as riding down there.

I can attest to that.. Rt. 16 out of Tazewell WV was SICK.

Witold.. I'd love to commit to this, but I'm just not sure on the timing yet.

I would be definitely interested in Oct 3-7.

For sure can't do Sept 29 and due to my work, missing both Mon and Wed (Oct 1 and 3) would be difficult.

Hope the weather holds up!

I'd be down for 3-7 if I went.. and have to take off 3-4 so I would have to be commited to that.
