Haymarket Ride - June 11, 2011, 06:30 AM

Anyone wanna get out this morning? I know, I know really REALLY late notice but my schedule freed up this morning. If you can meet up at Sheetz in Haymarket this morning just let me now.

be careful rolling out of the Sheetz in Haymarket. The last time I was out we came back on 55 and passed one Statie heading up 55. When we got up to Haymarket there was another one just sitting on the side of 55. Probably waiting for the next group of riders to head out down 55. I would suggest looking at a map and finding some other routes and stay clear of 55. Have fun and be safe!

Yeah the statie pop'd me just short of Middleburg... It was half my own fault for never looking behind me, I should have seen him trying to pace me. He first saw me on 55 where you go under 66 but couldn't get my speed on Radar. He then followed WAAAY behind me on loudon road. I only speed up for the turns and I work around the speed limit on the straights so he couldn't pace me there since he couldn't stay with me in the turns. After staying with me for about 5 miles he pulled me over right before of Middleburg where he said he paced me. He gave me a ticket for 57 in a 45... Weak sauce... I kinda wanna go to court and plead for mercy or something because my record is sterling and I want to keep it that way.

sorry to hear. But the word is out. If you are on a sportbike, stay off rt.55 and the normal routes off of Rt. 55. Just not worth it.
