Jalopy Showdown May 16 - May 7, 2009, 10:14 AM

It's time for the most fun you can have, well legally. The Jalopy Showdown is May 16. For years I have been saying this event is super fun and yet no one comes. Just thought i would toss it out again.
Last year we camped for 3 days. This year i am only going up for the day. If it's not pouring down rain I'm riding up, otherwise I'll cage it. Last year there were a few sport bikes camped out. The show is about 10 miles North of Gettysburg, PA right off Rt. 15 and I'll be heading up early and staying late I'm sure. If someone wants to camp i might be willing to ride up Friday night. they have a big party with bands Friday night.

What do you value more? Life or Image?

"I don't ride, I usually just sit around wearing a tshirt and my icon back protector and talk shit about anyone who does not have a liter bike. That's how you can pick me out of a crowd. I also wear a red tophat."

NOOOOOOOOOO! DAMN it, Damn it, Damn it. Friggin' supposed to travel out of town next week. I caught the tail end of it last year...had a back injury - I could ride, but couldn't walk at the time. I LIKED what I could see. I was really looking forward to catching it this year. Thought for SURE it was later in the Summer. Arrggh. Keep posting up more stuff like this Dave.

You don't want to ride the motorcycles up? Slacker. Is it because your bike will still be prepped for racing? You can ride my Orange ninja and I'll ride my Blue one. I don't plan to start prepping my Orange bike for MARRC until the day after the Jalopy Showdown.

I think it's best if i sleep at home Friday and ride up early Saturday morning. i have a busy weekend planned and worry that if i don't get a good night sleep friday it will mess up the entire weekend. I'm going to a BBQ in NOVA Saturday night and going to West VA Sunday so i have to be well rested. Not sure that would happen sleeping under the stars friday night. I hope you guys stick around long enough Saturday to check the show out, well worth it. I hope to be up there by 8am.
Chris, if you read this, i'll call you tonight.
