Ladies: WMF needs volunteers for the DC Bike Show! - December 4, 2007, 09:00 AM

The Women's Motorcyclist Foundation is a networking organization spearheading the Women in Motorcycling Booths. The booth is designed to pull in women and their supporters as individuals and from any and all motorcycle clubs. The D.C. Show is scheduled for January 11-13. Below are the goals for the booth & what we need from each volunteer. One thing to note, volunteers do not pay to get in. You get credentials from Exhibitor's Registration.

If you are interested, please contact Sue Slate wmfginsue (at) aol.com

Goals for the Booths:
- To promote all aspects of motorcycling from road to dirt to competitive opportunities available to all, INCLUDING women.
- To offer solo women riders and women considering the avocation of motorcycling resources, networking opportunities, riding buddies and mentors.
- To promote the various national and local organizations of particular interest to women in motorcycling.
- To provide opportunities for the various women's organizations to work with, laugh and learn from each other and present a united front to the motorcycle industry.
- To inform motorcyclists, INCLUDING men, of the 2009, Women and Motorcycling Conference to be once again hosted by the American Motorcyclist Association.
- To give back to the communities in which the shows are hosted thru a fund raising raffle and donations for "Journeys of Hope" breast cancer awareness items; the local Susan G. Komen for a Cure Affiliates are designated recipients of this effort.

1. First and last names for credentials to get into the show free.
2. Cell Phone Numbers & Email addresses so everyone gets the same info, from the same source and the same time to keep us all on the same page.
3. Hours a volunteer can work. Note: When representing a club providing multiple volunteers, it is best to spread the volunteer base out across the days and shifts. This way the club has consistent representation.
