Manassas Regional Airport's Open House-"Big Boy's Toys" 6/20 - June 15, 2009, 10:26 AM

Passing this along.

Manassas Regional Airport's 1st Annual Open House will be held at Manassas Airport. In honor of Fatherís come celebrate a fun filled event. There will be aircraft on display along with aircraft and helicopter rides. Police canine unit demo, remote control helicopter, RVís, boats, motorcycles, classic cars, hot rods on display. DJ, food and moonbounces for the kids. 10-3, rain date 6/21. Enjoy this free event open to the public.

Nothing is better than flying at 90 mph... Maybe sex but the question is which one costs more...

Has anyone been to this before? Is it worth it? How much do chopper rides run? Planes? What's the deal with bike demos?

damn, i wish i could go to this. damn sundays! gotta work. but might be able to go early and just go into work late. will have to see about that.

and yea how much are the heli rides. that would be pretty cool.

Went there for past few years, it's very worth it, I think the chopper runs are about 50 bucks, I don't know about the bike demos.

Re-read first post and pay close attention to the 1st this time...

What is FREE worth?

This is the the airport's first event, so don't have much more info yet.

Chopper rides = prob costly & prob just a vertical ride up to a couple hundred feet or around the pattern...

sweet. i got my pilot's license out of manassas airport, but haven't been there in awhile. i'll definitely swing by.

what time are you guys planning to be there? i may be there sometime between 10-11am.

i went to the first one ever. it was in Fredericksburg and was kinda lame but it looks like they got it together a little better now. I'll try to go Saturday, early afternoon.
