That's a confidence booster for me.
But realistically, we both know i cannot run with you

I am curious to know if the will let a novice/beginner take the Racing School Class

To the best of my knowledge, prior track experience is not required to take the Racing School. If you want to race and can afford it, go for it.

Yes, you can take the Racing School being a novice/beginner.

What to expect - May 23, 2019, 02:07 PM

It's been years since I have attended a MARRC event at Summit(2011).

Is there a gate cost to enter the facility?
What time do the gates open?
Is there electricity? If so how or where?
Does anyone know if vendors will be there?
Is there fuel available there?

Thanks.

As a MARRC volunteer no. Must have a MARRC ID. There are no gate fee refunds anymore.

If to just spectate likely yes because it's a race weekend. I'm not sure how it works for those doing only the MARRC trackday.

I'm heading up in a few hours. They're usually open 24 hours.

All over the paddock. Once you know which box you're going to use, go back to the front gate to pay and get the key. Return the key at the end of the weekend and get back a deposit fee. I think it's $25 for the weekend and you get back $10 or $15.

Usually a few tire vendors, maybe someone else with other stuff.

Yeah, going to cost you more. Cam 2, GT Racing Unleaded (100 Octane) and Super Unleaded (93 Octane) are available for purchase with credit card only.

I thought I read they will now come around to you to do the electric instead of doing it at the gate.

Might be a cornerworker for the round in May.

Looking to race the 748 in June and August. CCS762ZX6 is going to show me the ropes despite me trash talking him here.

Intermediate / Advanced was pretty crazy. Huge range of speed and skilz. I am not sure I would burn a vacation day to do another MARRC day in that group, and since I am not going to race, I am pretty much stuck in that class with them. It was both fun and scary to pass and pull away from a 1000 at Main on my SV. I can't imagine how it was for the guys out there that were significantly faster than me.

The good news is most folks were at least predictable and I didn't have any close calls.
