MD ride Saturday 7/5? - July 2, 2014, 04:51 PM

Let's try this again...

Anybody feel like a ride Saturday? Maybe even an early start? Weather looks great right now.

Thinking 200+ish miles, Haven't settled on a route yet, but will probably begin and end in Clarksville, MD.

Gauging interest at this point. All are welcome.

Please post up committed responses or valid questions only (@ you, Marc )

Additional details forthcoming.

Still kinda undecided. I thought I saw there might be some fresh pave east of michaeux to check out, trying to do some research. If so, then maybe a short stuffs/fredneck/high rock/Michaux run may be in order.

Or head out Berkeley springs/pawpaw area- but would have to start really early to hit 9 without traffic.

Or perhaps a reservoir route or north beach ride may be ok- if less ambitious.

Feedback?

I rode Berkeley springs/pawpaw last Sat. A lot of areas have half of the lane with new asphalt to repair the winter damage. It caught me off guard a couple of times coming through blind turns. From 522 to Paw Paw doesn't usually have much traffic. It sucks on the other side towards Hedgesville.

If anyone does head out here, let me know. I'm out here most weekends.

Aaaand since I still don't have a plan or see anyone saying "yup", I s'pose it's time to call it a non-starter and go solo.
